Yola Guz, an internationally acclaimed Professional Floral Designer and the inspiration behind Aventura Glamour Flowers, embarked on her floral design journey at 19 in the Dominican Republic. Her educational pursuits spanned from Santo Domingo to the University for Arts, Enrique Urena, where she honed her skills in Ikebana, Garden Landscaping, and Event Planning. Celebrated for her artistic flair, Yola won significant accolades, including a design competition in 1992 and the prestigious Dominican Republic Flower Fair in 1998.
Her illustrious career includes roles as a floral speaker on television, an organizer of major floral events, and the proprietor of retail flower shops. Yola's pursuit of greater professional challenges led her to the USA in 2002. Here, she became part of the creative team for the Rose Parade in Pasadena in 2005, contributing to award-winning floral floats.
In 2010, Yola was honored with induction into the American Institute of Floral Designers (AIFD). That same year, she founded the Yola Guz School of Floral Design in Miami, establishing a hub for innovative floral education. Her expertise and passion for floral design have made her a sought-after presenter at the AIFD National Symposium and an international floral show demonstrator.
Yola's exceptional talent in wedding floral designs has been showcased as a Floral Expert Commentator on Telemundo and Univision. She, along with her husband, has been a key organizer of the Doral Art and Flowers Festival, making significant contributions to the floral arts community.
